Saxmundam – appeal following RTC

Police are appealing to the local community for witnesses after a road traffic collision (RTC) that took place in #Saxmundham earlier in the month.

The incident involved a small red vehicle and a three-year-old child who sustained multiple broken bones as a result of the collision Friday morning 5 June at around 8:40am. 

The circumstances were the mother and child were on the footpath along the Main Road, near the doctors surgery, with the child being pushed in a buggy.  The child fell out of the buggy and into the carriageway where a passing vehicle collided with the child causing serious injuries. 

At this time the driver and vehicle are unidentified. A possible witness who stopped to help, then left before details could be taken.
